This is a family-run bed and breakfast located between Chianti and Maremma, in the upper Cecina valley between the provinces of Siena and Grosseto. The area is geothermal and is just 50 minutes away from the sea.
It is a mushroom and game rich area, with chestnuts and olive trees, offering opportunities for horseback riding and trekking. The area is peaceful, with a high daily temperature range.
There are numerous events and festivals in the surrounding areas, with thermal centers just an hour away. The scenery is breathtaking with medieval villages, abbeys, food and wine routes, rally tracks, and roads suitable for two-wheeled enthusiasts.
Every morning, we prepare breakfast for all tastes and palates (with special attention to food intolerances).
You can enjoy fantastic homemade jams and many other tasty foods for sweet and savory breakfasts in a completely familiar environment.
If you like meeting new people and you are not shy, you can have breakfast under the porch adjacent to the house with other guests.
I left the city of Milan with the intention of starting a family and raising my children in a rural and genuine environment.
In 1999, I moved to Tuscany with a lot of motivation and worked in a greenhouse cultivating basil.
During a work experience in this greenhouse in 2001, I met Stefania, also from Milan. After four years of a long-distance relationship, we organized her transfer and she took on the role of a preschool teacher in the area.
Living on a farm with the idea of ??living off tourism by welcoming guests and meeting new people every day to rediscover this beautiful and fascinating part of Tuscany remains the biggest motivation to this day.
Discovering Podere Pozzolone in 2004 was love at first sight, and from there we decided to renovate it to create our home and our bed and breakfast business.
In 2007, our adventure began with the first tourist season.
Falling in love with beautiful yet simple things and feeling ready to transmit the right optimism for everyday life is our philosophy.
Ten years later, we still believe we made the right decision for us and our children, Viola, Valerio, and Valentino.
